Question 1

What is Computer Navigated Half Knee Replacement?

Accepted Answer

It is a minimally invasive procedure where only the damaged part of the knee is replaced using computer-assisted navigation. This technology ensures the implant is perfectly aligned with the patient's natural anatomy.

Question 2

How is a half knee replacement different from a total knee replacement?

Accepted Answer

In a half (partial) knee replacement, only one compartment of the knee is treated, preserving healthy bone and ligaments. This results in a more natural-feeling joint and a quicker recovery compared to TKR.

Question 3

Who is the ideal candidate for this procedure?

Accepted Answer

Patients with arthritis confined to only one part of the knee joint, who still have functional ligaments and a good range of motion, are typically the best candidates.
